Meet us in New York
A Midwestern girl, a southern debutante, and a housewife from New Hampshire.
What do a Midwestern girl, a southern debutante, and a housewife from New Hampshire have in common?
Autism. We each have a child with Autism.
The condition brought the three of us together--but motherhood made us friends. Bringing home new babies, sibling rivalry, battles at the dinner table, the quiet joys of marriage...we’ve seen each other through it all.
It all started with a Facebook Live event in 2020, the year the world fell apart thanks to the pandemic. Kate suggested we talk online about a current event. In response, Adrian kept talking about a cookie cake. Apparently, they are very popular in North Carolina. We don’t remember many more of the details, but we do remember how hard we laughed during our time together.
Kate Swenson of Finding Cooper's Voice, Adrian Wood of Tales of an Educated Debutante, and Carrie Cariello of What Color is Monday are coming to New York City on Monday, December 11th.
There are 70 tickets available to join Kate, Adrian, and Carrie for a 30 minute presentation at Daniel's Music Foundation at 7:30 pm immediately followed by a meet and greet and book signing. The book signing and meet and greet will start at 8 pm. Attending the book signing is free but please grab a free ticket so we know how many folks to expect.
NOTE: If you buy a ticket for the presentation, you do NOT need to get a ticket for the following book signing. You are included.
Kate and Carrie will both have copies of their books, Forever Boy: A Mother's Memoir of Autism and Finding Joy and Half My Sky: Autism, Marriage, and the Messiness That Is Building a Family available for sale and will accept cash or card. Grab a photo too!
Grab a friend and come see us!
I cannot believe how much fun that will be for the 3 of you! Each one of you is so delightful . . but the TRIFECTA can't be beat!
Excited to meet you all !
