For Him, I Long for Joy and Ease

Yesterday, I saw my son Cooper truly happy.

I watched him laugh.

I watched him relax.

I watched the anxiety leave for seconds at a time.

And it dawned on me that I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen him truly happy.

And quite honestly, this might have been the only time I’ve seen him …
